Workplace Experience Advisor

**About Us**
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in your next role?
Why? As a society, we need to decarbonise and accelerate the transition to alternative energy sources. Existing solutions are expensive and disparate, with limited functionality.
Basis is driven by purpose, real innovation, and ambition. We have a talented team spread across New Zealand, with a creative space by the beach in Takapuna, and a Design Lab in Christchurch where our physical products come to life.
We recently closed our Series A capital raise, so we're well-funded and ready to grow. Our team is smart, curious and has some big goals - so if you’re interested in joining a fast-growing and startup that is design-led and puts people at its core, then we’d love to hear from you
**The Role**
Our team is growing rapidly, and we have identified the need for a Workplace Experience advisor to collaborate with the PX team in providing a best in class workplace experience for our diverse, and talented team Located in either Auckland or Christchurch, this will be primarily an office-based role with the option to work from home one day per week.
At their core, our Workplace Experience Advisor will thrive off designing and owning an exceptional Basis experience for our team members, both physical and digital. They’ll be an organised, people person, and will ooze proactivity. We need someone who is comfortable creating their own processes and holding others to account, while being flexible and keen to review what they’ve put in place in order to constantly improve.
Some of the things that you might be involved in include:
- Office management and overseeing the day-to-day running of our offices; including but not limited to keeping the fridge stocked, food ordered, keeping our spaces tidy and clean
- Draft and publish internal communications, and own some internal meeting schedules
- Identifying your own success metrics and leveraging our existing systems to track the effectiveness of your initiatives.
- Designing and owning our physical and digital workspaces
- Work with our Business Operations Lead to support the optimisation of our digital environment, including data integrity.
- Project managing any upgrades to offices including expansions and relocations (all of which are planned within next 12 months)
- Workstation and office equipment: track and own our inventory and processes related to workstation equipment, working with finance to ensure appropriate spending and receipt management
- Assist the team with logistics, planning, ordering, and general support. Think travel booking, offsite location booking, organising catering, and support across internal and external events.
There is so much more, but hopefully the gist is clear - we need an all rounder who is interested in holistic office management role which encompasses all aspects of the workplace experience.
**About You**
We think you’ll be a fit for this role if you have the following skills or experience:
- Experience working in any of the following roles; Office Manager, Project or Events Coordination, Operations, Hotel Management, Customer Service, or anything else where the above skills have been utilised
- Experience leading projects such as office relocations or events
- Strong organisational skills: Many people say they are organised, but are you the type to spreadsheet your holiday outfits? Have you already completed your Christmas shopping by June? Never miss a birthday or event? Organisational skills like this, balancing demands big and small and attention to detail will be critical to success in this role.
- A strong customer mindset - everyone who works at Basis is your customer and it will be your role to make their life easier, and create wonder with simple, delightful experiences.
- A passion for office design - you don't have to be an architect or designer, but you will appreciate the art of creating a beautiful aesthetic, and also think about the purpose behind these spaces and what they are designed to achieve.
- Excellent judgment. You will have ample opportunities to delight people, but as you will be spinning many plates in the air you will need to be confident to say "no" where appropriate.
**Benefits**
- A competitive salary and employee share scheme (ESOP)
- Unlimited annual leave so that you can take the time that you need to re-energise
- Tools of trade, including laptop and headphones, and we also pay your phone bill
- A schedule of fun team events throughout the year (ziplining, knife throwing, lego battle bots, what's next?)
- Office dogs
- Access to Clearhead, our well-being programme which gives you 5x free sessions with a psychologist per year
- A $200 one-off payment towards your home workstation
- A commitment to diversity and inclusion: Pride Committee, DEIB Committee, EEO Policy and well-being strategy
- Parental leave policy that tops up wages to 100% for the primary caregiver for up to 22 weeks
