The Culture and Capability team is part of the Human Resources team within the Organisational Capability and Services | He Pou Aroui branch. He Pou Aronui is dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Culture & Capability Advisor to join the team. Our advisors contribute to the development and delivery of programmes and services that ensure DIA is a high performing organisation and a great place to work.

We’ve got an ambitious work programme underway that spans Leadership Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Management, Organisational Culture, and Capability Development. In this role, you’ll contribute to one or more of those workstreams, including the opportunity to lead discrete projects, facilitate events and workshops, and deliver valuable day-to-day support to the business.

To be successful in the role you’ll have:

- Passion for helping an organisation achieve its strategic goals
- Experience designing and delivering organisational development initiatives
- Knowledge of organisational development tools, frameworks, and best practices
- Experience in project, change, and event management
- Experience managing a wide range of relationships, particularly with senior leaders
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills
- An understanding of Te Reo Māori, Tikanga, and Te Aō Māori is desirable.
