Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The Quality Advisor - s role is to facilitate the successful delivery of the organisational quality agenda across the service, whilst providing support to the directorate - s Quality Team Leader. In this role you will support the Centre of Clinical Excellence in the delivery of the quality agenda, the development of quality improvement and risk management capability in services, the provision of timely data, reporting and coordination of services as appropriate.
The building and maintaining of effective working relationships between management and clinicians is key to achieving quality outcomes for patients and the efficient functioning of services and the delivery of this role. Quality Advisors report to the Quality Team Leader and sit within the Quality & Patient Safety Team, Centre of Clinical Excellent.
We are looking for advisors who will be primarily based at either Hutt Hospital or Wellington Regional Hospital. However the Quality Team covers the District, and therefore Advisors are required to work across both sites as required.

**Other skills and experience we are looking for**:
- An understanding of serious adverse event processes and knowledge and/or experience of risk management principals
- Proven experience of continuous quality improvement tools, processes and audit
- Experience in managing projects through to completion
- Demonstrated competency in computer skills using a range of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport and relate well with people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both patients and staff in situations that require tact and diplomacy
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, proactively managing conflicting demands on time
