About the role
The Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is looking for a National Manager Workforce Rostering to lead our National Rostering Centre based near Auckland Airport. The team ensures the efficient and effective delivery of rostering for a combined national workforce of up to 1,600 employees.

As a member of the Operational Leadership team, you will be accountable for the centre’s staff, standardising roster production, improving the quality of rosters and maximising the use of staff resources.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring reports on trends and analysis are accurate and available in a timely manner to key stakeholders. This will be achieved by utilizing internal systems and by building complex reporting tools on Microsoft Excel.
The salary band for this position is $136,939 to $191,448 pa, with a midrange of $161,941. The starting salary will be based on the knowledge, skills and experience you may bring to the role and relativities across the organisation.

What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience at managing a rostering or planning centre (or similar) that operates in a high volume, 24/7 environment
- Proven experience in interpretation of and use of large data and building reports
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Resilience in a challenging, fast-changing environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise
