Auckland Transport (AT) keeps Auckland moving We plan and fund public transport, promote and initiate alternative ways to get around the city, operate and maintain the local road network, and manage parking and traffic systems.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

As the Senior Social Media Specialist you will be the go-to person for Auckland Transport on all things social media, from providing strategic leadership of the social media operating model, mentoring and coaching contributors across the organisation through to reviewing social media plans.

You'll use your experience coupled with your well-honed reputation and risk radar to ensure relevance of content, and the reach and engagement it achieves.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Act as the central social media go-to for all business units across Auckland Transport
- Own, implement and manage the social media strategy
- Own and oversee social media activity content calendar
- Create engaging content, posts and videos for multiple channels

As a trusted advisor with extensive experience in social media management you will have a creative mindset coupled with a strategic approach. You will need to be hands on in terms of developing the strategy and operating plans as well as management of the multiple channels and content creation. You will need to be proactive in risk management and identifying and responding to misinformation. You will utilise your top-notch relationship and influencing skills as you work with your internal stakeholders the creation of targeted and engaging content

To be successful in this role you will need
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing or other relevant field
- A minimum of 4-7 years' social media experience with exposure in the creation and implementation of social media strategies, operating plans and content
- Hands-on practical experience with publishing/management tools across multiple social media channels
- A true passion for all things digital with a collaborative working stile and highly effective interpersonal skills
