Collection Enablement Team Leader
4 weeks ago
The Intelligence Directorate's Collection Branch is creating a new Data Analysis Enablement Team to lead their operations and mitigate risks to capabilities through data analytics and discovery. The team will work closely with Collection Engineers to provide timely and tailored analysis of communications, as well as operations-focused tradecraft, tools and analytic techniques.
The Enablement teams' analysis will discover new leads and opportunities while optimising the value of GCSB collection capabilities. This will help guide ongoing operational capability development and security posture to mitigate cyber security threats.

You will combine technical expertise, ideally honed within the NZIC, along with a desire to develop intelligence professionals and strategically grow analysis and tradecraft with a collection operations focus.
**Collection Enablement Analyst (L3)**: Be a day-to-day technical expert who is able to conduct complex technical tasks independently, contribute mentorship and initiative to the delivery of technical work streams.
**Some of the requirements for success in these roles include**:
Strong attention to detail and an ability to accurately identify, analyse and solve difficult problems;
A tertiary qualification, preferably with a technical focus such as engineering, telecommunications or computer science, information or science technology, or equivalent learning through experience;
Experience managing relationships with a variety of technical stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes;
A good understanding of telecommunication technology and trends; and
The ability to analyse diverse information sets, derived from a range of information sources, to reach sound analytical conclusions.
Your professional development is important to us. Once we identify you as the right person, we will dedicate significant investment in developing your career path within the team and organisation
To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
