- Auckland based role with flexible working options.

**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**

As the Head of Corporate Communications, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing a communication strategy to strengthen our internal comms and proactively enhance our market profile and brand. You’ll work closely with our Executives and our Clients & Markets team to develop a comprehensive plan to enhance our communications strategy aligning it seamlessly with our overarching goals. This includes working with our Board, our incoming newly appointed Chief Executive, and the broader leadership team to manage communication and ensuring a strong linkage between our communications strategy, brand development and marketing activity.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy aligned with our strategic plan.
- Oversee all internal and external corporate communication initiatives, including media relations, public relations, crisis communications and corporate announcements.

- Act as a spokesperson for the company when necessary, representing our brand professionally and ensuring consistent messaging.

**Te rongoā | About you**

We are looking for someone who loves bringing people together, like our team. You are passionate about making a difference through storytelling. You bring proven experience in a corporate communications leadership role, preferably in a global or complex organisation where you have developed your strategic thinking and ability to translate business objectives into effective communications strategies.

As a respected leader, you have a natural flare for building strong networks and expertise in managing relationships right across the organisation and have proven experience in building and strengthen comms capability throughout the organisation by working alongside people sharing and coaching to enable them. You thrive when faced with ambiguity; when the going gets tough, you overcome obstacles by recognising long-term opportunities.

You will bring a fresh perspective to ensure the development of the people around you, taking them on the journey through empathy and influence. You’ll be focused on seeking out better practices for the overall quality of our work through expertise in media relations, crisis communication and reputation management. A collaborative approach is a must to bring together specialist knowledge from different disciplines and across regions.
