**About the Role**
We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join our New Zealand Marketing and Communications team. You will be working alongside a team of dynamic professionals who are passionate about what they do.
The Communications Manager supports communications and messaging across internal and external channels to represent all business lines under Marsh McLennan (Marsh and Mercer) but the main focus will be Marsh. Content creation and copywriting is a large part of this role.
The role reports into the Marsh McLennan Marketing and Communications leader and will have exposure to and work closely with all lines of business as well as the Executive Committee.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Owns and drives the communication strategy across all business audiences - including corporates, SME, HR, CFOs and sponsors/partners
- Develops technical copy by organising material, writing preliminary draft, checking facts, and correcting grammar, punctuation, and spelling, to meet established standards.
- Analyses and reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction. Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
- Edits and standardises technical material prepared by the marketing and communications team or internal stakeholders, to ensure consistency.
- Interviews technical stakeholders and reads various materials to develop basic knowledge of product technologies and production methods.
**External Communications**
- Drives external-facing content marketing and collateral including but not limited to reports, insights articles, product and services webpages, social media platforms, client communications, RFP messaging, ESG messaging, and media and press communications. Including the creation of new content and topical external news stories.
- Review all external-facing content marketing for tone of voice and adherence to company style guide, as part of the established content development process
- Evaluates and interprets needs, analyses the audience, and determines the most effective means of communication methodology to effectively and efficiently support the objectives of a function or business
- Provide communications quality sign-off for all external-facing content marketing
- Support marketers with annual marketing strategy development as it relates to editorial content
- Works with the marketing team to build and maintain a content plan relevant for external audiences
- Develop content briefs (or reverse briefs) in consultation with internal stakeholders
- Assist with the development of competitive value propositions and client-centric messaging
**Internal Communications Engagement**
- Supports in the build of the internal communications strategy and colleague experience for all colleagues across New Zealand (600 colleagues). Working with the Pacific Internal communications team to ensure alignment to Pacific execution
- Supports CEO and the Executive team in communications, strategies and messaging
- Supports Colleagues Resource Groups (CRG’s) in the execution of messages and comms across the organisation
- Manage change management strategies and communications
- Supports the Marketing coordinator to track usage and readership metrics and conducts analytics to inform strategic and content decisions and provides recommendations to management.
- Evaluates and interprets needs, analyses the audience, and determines the most effective means of communication methodology to effectively and efficiently support the objectives of a function or business.
- Works effectively with all levels of internal stakeholders, including Executives and CEO’s, to support the execution of communications materials.
- Support the Marketing Coordinator in designing, writing, and editing of a range of employee communications, newsletters, and informational materials for internal distribution to meet communication/project objectives.
