**The Opportunity**

As a result of our continued success, we are now recruiting a **Regional Sales Manager for the Waikato region reporting directly to the Managing Direct** to join our world class, purpose-driven team, challenging the status quo in our pursuit of excellence and innovation in animal health globally. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a ‘_finger on the pulse’_ attitude to join our fast paced, forward-thinking organisation.

You will be responsible for the continued success and growth of the AHV business within the New Zealand, contributing to and leading the Sales Consultant Team in delivering excellence and innovation to our dairy farming customers.

**Requirements**:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Waikato Sales Team Leader will be responsible for the further recruitment, development and management of our Waikato Sales Team. The purpose of the sales team is to acquire and support new customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention by enhancing animal health, longevity, farm productivity and profitability by effectively advising AHV solutions and protocols and driving sales. This role will also be part of the AHV NZ leadership team by contributing leadership and critical thinking to the direction and focus of the business.

Specific responsibilities include:
**25% Leadership Team and Team Leadership**:

- Contribute with your leadership and critical thinking to the sustainable growth of AHV NZ, by identifying the right initiatives at the right time.
- Recruit, develop and lead The Waikato Sales Team, growing to 6-8 Territory Managers
- Responsible for building the sales team capability and ongoing development
- Ensure new customer acquisition
- Ensure customer retention and satisfaction
- Train the sales team in the AHV ‘solution’ sales approach, leveraging AHV technical knowledge
- Responsible for sales performance KPIs and associated reporting

**75% Sales**:

- Acquire new farmer customers with a strong focus on corporate structured farms and supporting them to enhance their productivity and profitability
- Because of your excellent dairy farming knowledge you are able to support farmers with valuable advice on the right use of our AHV solutions and protocols.
- This way you ensure that farmers are empowered to improve and/or maintain their animal health in a responsible and safe manner and move from reactive to preventative use of the AHV solutions.
- Because of your strong networking skills you are able to engage and collaborate with veterinarians and feed experts. Your customer needs to be served in the best possible way.
- Of course, you like to achieve personal success, and learning from each other in a team is self-evident to you. You take the lead in contacting colleagues in the field and from other countries. #workingtogetherlikebacteria
- As a networker, you have all the trade fairs and farmer's meetings in your diary. And you do not stop here, you also plan the necessary meetings within your network to let farmers talk about and share their experiences.

**Required experience/skill set**:

- Commercial sales experience with proven track record
- People leadership experience
- Farming and/or animal related background not limited to genetics/health/equipment/nutrition/science
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideal but not essential - Bachelor's degree in related field
- Valid driver’s license
- NZ right to work
- Ability to travel locally and regionally. Also globally when needed for training purposes.
