We are looking for a talented Sustainability professional to join our passionate and supportive Sustainability team.

This role will support our team to help customers reduce their waste and increase resource recovery through our suite of Sustainability Services. This includes waste audits, education and training, and operational waste management plans. You’ll also work closely with partner companies and organisations to deliver recovery services.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Work closely with strategic and commercial customers to understand their business and tailor our Sustainability Services to meet their unique requirements
- Lead the following services:

- Waste Audits - sorting a customer’s waste into specific categories, photographing, weighing and compiling a detailed report on ways to reduce waste generation and maximise materials recovery
- Education & Training - creating education programmes for customers, whether it is in-person training sessions, online workshops or creating bespoke animated videos
- Operational Waste Management Plans - OWMPs are required for resource consent and Green Star projects. You’ll engage with architects, designers and project managers to ensure waste is adequately managed for new developments
- Represent WM New Zealand at external events, seminars and workshops
- Keep up to date with waste trends and new solutions.

**Qualifications** About you**:
You’ll thrive in a supportive team environment with a positive and can-do attitude.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification or suitable experience and be excited about helping New Zealand businesses reduce their waste and make more sustainable choices.

It’s a hands-on job and you’ll need the ability to work with people from all levels of an organisation effectively. You’ll have excellent writing and presentation skills, be organised and good at planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
