Wellington City, New Zealand Maycroft Construction Full time

A BIT ABOUT US...

We have been in business for nearly seven decades and are (a little bit) proud to share that through our values of integrity, responsibility, respect and support, we have established a reputation as a leading construction company across the central and lower North Island. We are proudly employee-owned and have a purpose to build trust through great buildings, great people, and great relationships.

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE...

We have an exciting opportunity in this newly created role for the right person to play a vital part in Maycroft’s effort to implement sustainable practices, reduce environmental impact, and enhance social responsibility initiatives and goals.

Reporting to the CEO, you will work with various stakeholders - ranging from our employees and subcontractors through to our clients and suppliers - to develop and execute sustainability strategies that align with business and customer goals, regulatory requirements, and government emission reduction targets.

This role isn't for the faint hearted, not only is this a brand-new role within a dynamic commercial construction business, but we have ambitions to commence our environmental certification process (partnering with Toitu Envirocare) and to start stepping through the various levels within 12 months.

We are targeting bronze in 6 months and gold within 2 years Net Carbon Zero concurrent with this

If this sort of challenge (and the many we don't yet know about - but that's where you come in) excites and delights you, read on

A BIT ABOUT YOU...

- You are credible - you will know your craft so well that you make the complex sound simple.
