Auckland Council is dedicated to making Auckland a world-class city. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Interns to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

As a Shared Support Services Intern at Auckland Council, you will play a crucial role in supporting various departments within the council. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and develop a broad skill set.

You will assist with various administrative tasks, including support with Events, meeting coordination, maintaining and updating databases and records, helping to prepare reports and presentations, supporting the team with various projects and tasks as required and much more.

Embark on a journey of professional growth and hands-on experience with the Auckland Council Internship Programme. Designed for students in their penultimate year of a bachelor's degree, or in a continued masters programme, this paid three-month summer internship, running from 18th November 2024 to 14 February 2025, offers full-time work that aligns with your field of study.

You'll engage in meaningful work, contributing to the development of Auckland as a world-class city, while receiving career development opportunities.

As an intern, you'll be immersed in a supportive environment, with mentorship and networking opportunities that pave the way for a potential future within the council. You’ll be part of Auckland Council’s internship whānau and will be supported every step of the way by a team who want you to succeed including a buddy, liaison, Careers Team, and the wider intern cohort.
Upon completion, interns may receive priority consideration for the Graduate Programme, setting the stage for a robust career start.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You are a proactive and enthusiastic individual with strong organisational and multitasking skills that enable you to handle various tasks efficiently. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

You are skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have a keen eye for detail. Your ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, makes you a valuable team player. You are eager to learn, take on new challenges, and contribute to the success of Auckland Council.

A NZ restricted drivers license is desirable but not mandatory.
- Be in your penultimate year studying towards a relevant Bachelor's degree, or continuing into a Master’s level of study in 2025.
