We currently have a vacancy for an experienced, Dictaphone Typists/Medical Transcriptionist. This is a part time role working 32 hours a week Monday to Friday, between the hours 8:00am - 4:30pm and based at Middlemore Hospital.
The successful applicant will be part of the Clinical Transcription Service, which provides medical transcriptionist support through Dictaphone typing for various Clinical Services.
If you have previous medical experience then this is a great opportunity. We will consider applicants who do not have a medical background, but have proven fast, accurate Dictaphone typing as it is very a busy, fast-paced environment. We offer an excellent training programme to ensure staff are able to work independently in a short time frame, and ongoing supports are provided for all employees.

**Essential**:
Dictaphone typing experience
Minimum typing speed of 55wpm
Intermediate level of MS Office Word & Outlook Awareness and understanding of patient confidentiality
High attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure

**Desired**:
Hospital based medical transcription or secretarial experience

Dependent on skills and experience the salary range is in line with the PSA Clerical and Administrative staff collective agreement
