- Creative Arts and Industries (CAI) is a respected centre for creative research, teaching and practice at The University of Auckland. CAI offers undergraduate and postgraduate study across a wide range of creative disciplines within the Schools of Architecture and Planning, Fine Arts and Design, Music and the Dance Studies programme. In all areas, the emphasis is on creative exploration, discovery and interdisciplinary collaboration across the Faculty.**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

This is a new programme offering a range of fabrication environments from traditional machinery to digital technologies and sensor environments.

This is a **full-time** (37.5 hours per week), **permanent** opportunity.
The remuneration is $56,600 - $70,600 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

**Qualifications**:
**He kōrero mōu | About you**

You will bring experience with woodworking, digital printing/cutting technologies such as 3D subtractive CNC milling, laser cutting, 3D modelling/animation software’s such as Blender, Rhino, Fusion 360, 3DS Max, or Maya, and have the ability to assist staff and students to; fix 3D models, designing objects, and rendering, and preparing assets for game engines.

You will also:

- Have a Trade qualification in materials / woodworking or related industry e.g. cabinetmaking or boatbuilding; high school qualification or relevant experience
- Established experience in a woodworking or materials-based trade and in the use of a variety of analogue machinery.
- Gain A First aid certificate, which must be maintained at all times. Health and safety is an essential part of the role, so a proactive attitude towards ensuring a safe environment is vital.
- Keep up to date with relevant technologies and techniques to ensure the best possible solutions are made available to staff and students.
