You’ll be joining a team that drives arts and culture activities in local communities - ensuring Aucklanders gain real benefit from their engagement with the arts. As an Arts and Culture Programmer, we want you to help shape, develop and deliver the programmes that engage with the community right through from inception to exhibition or show. As part of this you’ll be responsible for engaging with local networks, artists and creative Aucklanders and community groups alike, and will utilise your passion for the arts to shape creative programmes. This will be across South Auckland.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You’ll have developed and maintained an awareness of contemporary arts and culture, public programmes, and event production, and will understand best practice and current and forthcoming trends locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

You’ll be able to demonstrate curatorial and/or programming expertise in at least one discipline, audience segment or delivery channel within arts and culture, and it would be advantageous if this were within the performing arts space.

We’d like to see leadership of creative portfolios or programmes, combined with the ability to balance the high creative with community needs. You’ll also be comfortable working in a high-pressure multidisciplinary environment.
