**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**
The Capture Lead will enhance the position of Downer as the pre-eminent supplier of Transport & Infrastructure solutions in Aotearoa, supporting market leading pre-positioning activities.

The Capture Lead actively supports the delivery of the Transport & Infrastructure business strategy and business development activities.
Working in coordination with the wider New Business Team, the Capture Lead will be responsible for:
Capture Planning:

- Creating plans for capture management and execution, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Coordinating resources including Capture Leads, assigning roles and responsibilities for effective capture planning.
- Conducting Quality Assurance to ensure the strategic direction of each opportunity aligns with overarching goals.

Approvals to Pursue:

- Supporting the approval processes necessary to pursue opportunities within the Transport & Infrastructure sector.

Sector Strategies:

- Coordinating content and strategic approaches for various sectors within the Transport & Infrastructure industry:

- Roads - including Capital, TREC, and RCM.
- Rail, Airports, Ports, Defence, Pacific, and
- National Operations such as Greenspace, ITS, and Road Marking.

Customer Intel Meetings:

- Supporting and facilitating meetings with Business Support Managers (BSMs) and CRM Leads in each region.

Account Planning / CRM Strategy Workshops:

- Facilitating workshops that develop CRM strategies and robust account planning.

Awards / Broader Outcomes:

- Providing support in the pursuit of awards and the realisation of broader outcomes.

Deliver Well Programme:

- Offering support to the ongoing development and implementation of the Deliver Well Programme.

Bridge between Tendering and BD:

- Acting as a liaison between the Tendering teams and Business Development to ensure cohesive strategies and approaches.

Communication:

- Maintaining visibility on trackers and communicating who is the Capture Lead to empower readiness across the team.

Training:

- Developing comprehensive training for strategy development, focusing on overall approaches, and identifying unique points of difference for each major strategic opportunity.
- Software Capability: Navigating online tools and systems such as SharePoint and CARL, ensuring accessibility and use of relevant data.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- A good understanding of the project development process, and which steps public and private clients are taking to bring their projects to construction.
- An understanding of the broader New Zealand infrastructure sector and the Transport & Infrastructure sector.
- Appreciation of the ‘work winning’ process and a sound knowledge of business development and tendering
- A naturally collaborative approach with the ability to manage competing drivers ad tension, using a solution-focused approach.
- Desirable to hold a tertiary qualification or equivalent, preferably in engineering or business-related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in business development or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector
- Ability to travel.
