**About the Role**:
As Lead Data Analyst, you will be tasked with establishing and developing a thorough data analytics capability for MEGA. Building upon our existing statistical framework, you will identify new avenues for data capture and analysis and will drive the implementation thereof. In addition, you will be responsible for clearly reporting on, and communicating, your analysis of our data.

You will report to the Engineering Manager.

The core responsibilities of the role are:

- Establishing and growing an analytics strategy in consultation with senior management
- Collaborating with the Engineering and Product teams to improve MEGA’s data collection capability across all platforms
- Processing, analysing, and assimilating data to identify information and trends relevant to the business, and the provision of recommendations based on these findings
- Improving the reporting, accessibility, and widespread understanding of data for internal stakeholders
- Capturing and maintaining all documentation relating to data analysis and reporting, including: requirement analysis, data sources, data transformation, and methods of interpretation
- Regularly assessing and validating data, data integrity, and data collection processes to ensure quality, accuracy, clarity, and sound interpretation

Please note that you will be working alongside a global workforce and this role may require some evening work as you communicate with teams in different time zones.

**About You**:
Naturally curious and with a meticulous eye for detail, you will exhibit a strong desire to learn, understand, and communicate complex information. You will actively demonstrate MEGA’s values as you take initiative and maintain a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude. You’re a diligent and creative problem-solver, with the ability to coordinate many moving parts to deliver set outcomes.

You also have:

- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst/Senior Data Analyst working on data and reporting projects
- A robust background in requirements gathering, data analysis, and data modelling
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent business acumen and the ability to translate data into comprehensive summaries with practical insights and suggestions

Working knowledge of SQL would also be highly beneficial in this role.

**Qualifications**:
Ideally, you hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management, or a related discipline.
