Vaa o Tautai - Centre for Pacific Health, provides oversight for Pacific developments in the Division of Health Sciences. We aim to increase recruitment and success of Pacific students, and support collaborations in Pacific developments in teaching, service and research in New Zealand and the Pacific region.

**The role**

As the Pacific Regional Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing relationships, engagements, and projects in conjunction with the Director, Vaa o Tautai - Centre for Pacific Health, to develop and influence the strategic direction within the Division of Health Sciences.

You will utilise your management skills, strategic planning, and high-level administration experience, coupled with a healthy cross-cultural perspective.

This position is at the centre of the Divisions engagement with Pacific communities in New Zealand and the Pacific region.

Your skills and experience
- a commitment to the advancement of Pacific aspirations, outcomes and achievements in higher education, and the development and support for Pacific communities.
- significant leadership experience and a proven ability to manage and lead strategic projects and engagements.
- excellent public relations skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide variety of people.
- a sound knowledge of the tertiary and compulsory education sector.
- excellent word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills.
- previous experience working in a support role for senior staff.
- advanced problem-solving skills.
- the ability to plan and manage activities and events.
- the ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner.

**Further details**

This is a full-time (37.5 hours week), fixed-term position for one year, available immediately.

The appointment range for this role is $55,535 to $59,901, top of range $64,994.
