You will be responsible to the Executive Officer for the management of Logistic Test and Evaluation, and the conduct of Logistic Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), of nominated NZDF aviation systems.

**Key activities include**:

- Planning and execution of Logistic OT&E activities as directed by the Director DEA(O).
- Development and preparation or review of the logistics and support requirements in the integrated OT&E Plans for the capability integration of aircraft and systems.
- Providing specialist advice to Director and seconded OT&E personnel on test and evaluation matters.
- Providing advice to DEA(O), seconded personnel and NZDF personnel on the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and associated logistics and support requirements for OT&E of new or modified aircraft or systems requiring OT&E for aircraft or assets.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
This is a very unique role, therefore we require someone with an understanding of working within a military environment, ideally with engineering officer or maintenance WO experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have knowledge and understanding as detailed:

- In-depth knowledge of aviation Orders, Instructions and Publications (OIP), specifically applicable Defence Aviation Rules (DARs) and Defence Aviation Safety Assurance Manual (DASAM). Additionally, Aviation Orders and NZAP 102.
- In-depth knowledge of Logistic OT&E methodologies and processes.
- Cross-functional networking skills to build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of NZDF Aviation System Airworthiness (Operational & Engineering/Technical) structure and processes.

It is expected you will have strong communication and relationship management skills and be confident in your skills and abilities.
You may be required to travel within New Zealand and overseas so will need a current passport.
This role is based at RNZAF Whenuapai. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is some flexibility with working remotely.

Directorate of Evaluation and Airworthiness (Operating) is responsible, and a focal point within the organisation, for supporting the Military Airworthiness Operator (MAO), and in some specific areas the NZ Defence Aviation Authority in delivering operating airworthiness processes which meet the requirements of Defence Aviation Rules (DARs) for all NZDF aviation capability systems, NZDF aviation system capability introduction activity, and in-service capability development.
