Look no further Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is seeking a talented Digital & Instructional Designer to join our team.
**About us**
At Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, we are committed to providing quality education for our tauira (students) that aligns with our strategic goals. As a Digital & Instructional
Designer, you’ll collaborate with other kaimahi (employees) including Content Instructional Designers, Programme Developers, and Programme Development Advisors to craft exceptional learning and teaching resources.
Your work will directly impact our tauira’ success and contribute to the growth of our hapori whānui (wider community).
**Key responsibilities**:
- Work closely with Content Instructional Designers, Programme Developers, and Programme Development Advisors. Together, we’ll create cutting-edge learning resources that captivate and inspire our students.
- Dive into the digital realm Explore new technologies, design platforms, and artistic contributions. Your fresh ideas will elevate our programs to new heights.
- Create all digital learning and teaching resources for assigned program developments. You’ll also fine-tune existing resources to ensure top-notch quality.
- Develop brand and design guidelines for each program. Your creative touch will leave a lasting impression.
**About you**
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Graphic Design, Media or related field
- Diploma in Online Learning (Level 5-6)
- Diploma in Project Management (Level 5-6)
- Full NZ Drivers Licence
**Experience**:
- 4+ years’ experience in on-line learning and e-learning development
- 4+ years’ in learning & resource design and/or instructional design
- 4+ years’ experience in project management or equivalent
Āhuatanga Māori:
- Actively engages in cultural activities and has an excellent understanding of āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga)
- Able to understand and converse in te reo Māori (TARM level 4 or equivalent qualification)
- Prepared to increase knowledge, understanding and everyday use of te reo and āhuatanga Māori and support other kaimahi in the same endeavour
- Understands and is an advocate for using Te Wānanga o Aotearoa values in the workplace
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
