**About us:
We want more good people to come and do great things with us.
We love where we live. That’s why we work so hard to look after our region and the people who live and work in the Waikato region.
Customers sit at the heart of everything we do, and all staff have an important role to play in the delivery of exceptional customer service.
Our work is as diverse as the region we care for; from the tip of the Coromandel Peninsula to the slopes of Ruapehu. We’ve got ambitious goals and there are some tricky issues, but that’s what makes it so interesting.
Looking for flexible ways of working options, at Waikato Regional Council we are committed to working more creatively to ‘get work done’ in a way that is of mutual benefit to you, the organisation and our communities.
**About you**:
We’re looking for someone at home in the digital world.
You will be part of a close-knit team to create, maintain and improve the information on our websites, intranet and other digital channels. This could be either a full-time 40 hour per week role or a job share opportunity.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Experience using website content management systems and HTML
- An understanding of user experience, web accessibility and how to structure online content for different audiences and digital platforms
- A customer centric approach to their work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work efficiently on multiple tasks at the same time, striving for accuracy, creativity, and quick turn-around times in your work
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Web Development and Design or a similar qualification.
**Experience**:
You might already have experience in digital communications; or you might be new to the industry, but with the right aptitude, we’ll provide on the job training.
**About the role**:
You will be responsible for:
- Providing trusted, timely and accurate digital guidance, advice and practical support to internal and external channels and stakeholders. This includes creating, editing and publishing content to digital channels owned or managed by Waikato Regional Council.
- Contributing positively to the digital channels’ programme of work.
- Helping monitor, measure and analyse performance of digital channels owned or managed by Waikato Regional Council, using insights to recommend improvements.
**This could be either a full-time 40 hour per week role or a job share opportunity.
