**What's so exciting about this role?**

We are looking for an experience Payroll Coordinator to join our Global Payroll team. Reporting to our Group Payroll Manager, this role will manage the preparation and processing of our NZ payroll. You will be responsible for ensuring that best practice and processes are followed in line with relevant legislation and aligned to Group processes and that all associated documentation is filed accurately for traceability purposes.

This role would suit someone with a strong New Zealand payroll background and who is looking to upskill and expand their knowledge into other country’s payroll requirements.

**What Does An Average Day Look Like?**

No day is average at **humm**group** **but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

- Timely and accurate processing of end to end fortnightly payrolls
- Maintain general and complex payroll data maintenance including, but not limited to - new starters, terminations, salaries, commission, bonuses and Kiwi Saver
- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately including all returns as required by IRD, and other government departments
- Work collaboratively with HR Systems & Payroll Team to ensure employee and company data is accurate in **humm**group’s HR system
- Support the Finance Team for any payroll related audit requirements
- Process other financial compensations or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation)
- Maintain, update and support developing SOPs as required
- Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes

To thrive in this role you will also bring:

- 2+ years’ experience working in a payroll function, operating, and running payrolls autonomously
- Strong knowledge of relevant New Zealand legislation and compliance
- Hands on experience with HR softwares - Workday experience desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of, and experience with Datacom desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to take ownership of your work
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills to enable dealing with a diverse team of people
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure, handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices
- In depth knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
