**About the Company**:
Our client is a well-known media organisation that provides a wide range of local and international programs and contributes to the revitalisation of the Māori language. Based in East Tamaki with parking included, this team are an incredibly welcoming, down-to-earth, and helpful group.

**A little bit about the role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual, for a minimum of 24 hours per week with the potential for up to 40 hours, with plenty of flexibility for hybrid working.

**Responsibilities**:
Serve as the main point of contact for kaimahi (employees) in all payroll and HR administration matters, coordinating starter, leaver, and changes information

Collating Payroll data for fortnightly runs and submitting it to Datacom for payroll generation.

Processing payroll journal posting after the payroll run

Respond to all payroll inbox queries in a timely manner

Ensure any penal rate/TOIL accruals are recorded and paid correctly

Become the expert in kaimahi data management, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information in our systems.
Provide recruitment administrative support, including scheduling interviews.
Handle onboarding tasks for new kaimahi, such as submitting Ministry of Justice checks and gathering necessary payment information.
Manage HR and Payroll inboxes efficiently.
Assist the People and Capability team with various HR administrative duties.
Exhibit a strong interest in creating HR metrics and reporting.

**So who are you, and what is your profile?**

Prior experience or exposure to payroll administration, with a focus on administrative tasks and data compilation (payroll processing is outsourced to Datacom)

One to two years of HR administration experience.

Exceptional attention to detail with a dedication to maintaining excellence in all aspects of people data management.

Demonstrated interest in HR practices and principles.

Ability to work autonomously while also fostering collaboration within a team.

A continuous improvement mindset, always seeking ways to enhance processes.

Proficiency in advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, and other data manipulation techniques.

Comfortability with tikanga Māori practices is essential.
