Join us as R&D Senior Software Engineer based in Napier, Hawkes Bay and you will use your technical knowledge to contribute to our projects Reporting to R&D Chapter Lead, you will be a technical leader in the field of real-time software implementation.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Developing embedded software for power electronics products
- Working closely with other R&D teams, particularly the control team
- Managing Real-time, multi-rate software development

**Your background**:

- Degree in software engineering in computer science or equivalent with C/C++ experience (3+ years)
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills and software development process experience
- Experience in writing and maintaining technical design documents. Experience with CI/CD, communication protocols and Yocto Linux development
- A working knowledge of Python, Bash, Autotools
- Experience of interfacing to FPGA’s, experience with power electronics and control hardware, experience in interfacing with User Interfaces (HMI),familiarity with Cyber Security requirements and implementation (IEC 62443-4-) and experience in HTML, JavaScript, PHP is an added advantage
- Strong communication skills, with high level English skills
