Join us as R&D Electrical Engineer for ABB Smart Power division in Electrification Business Area and you’ll get to work with cutting-edge power electronics products and technologies

**Your responsibilities**:

- Handling Electrical design for product development and maintenance, and sound documentation thereof
- Interacting and cooperating with production engineering team to migrate product design into production
- Managing component specification & selection e.g., capacitors, inductors
- and Circuit Protection design. Energy storage (Super Capacitors),Power Magnetics specification, Thermal and cooling design of : cables, busbars, enclosures
- Understanding interaction of equipment with Power Systems. Reliability engineering including FMEA, International standards for product safety (CE & UL)
- Visiting sites occasionally and defining of product test requirements
- Interacting and cooperating with Quality team for resolving product and component quality issues

**Your background**:

- Degree in Electrical engineering
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous exposure to, and experience with 3phase systems
- Experience of any of the following products would be desirable: UPS, Static frequency converters, Energy storage systems, variable speed drives
- Knowledge on Power electronics, design for manufacture, and design for service
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
