**Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role**
Reporting to the People Business Partner - Regional you will be fully immersed in delivering employment relations and human resources support to business managers and their teams within the Te Hiku region (which covers Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland and Te Tai Tokerau/Northland).

You will provide timely, grounded professional advice and be able to evaluate current state and provide recommendations. You will partner with business leaders to identify and access opportunities to foster an environment and culture where people development is a priority; and providing solutions to complex HR challenges.

**Ko tāu nā ki tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role**
You will be a proactive and hands on HR professional with an exceptional customer service ethic and the drive to go the extra mile. You will already have generalist HR experience under your belt, and you're looking to extend and grow.

You will have strong relationship building skills and the ability to build confidence and trust across the organisation.

With your work ethic you'll be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into whatever needs doing. You'll also be highly organised and be comfortable working with managers at all levels to find solutions.

**To be successful in this role, ideally you will have**:

- Relevant qualification or experience working in HR.
- Relevant experience in employment relations, with a demonstrated ability to quickly progress to a level of delivery commensurate with the seniority of the role.
- Knowledge of current New Zealand employment law and HR practices and how this relates in the organisational context.
- Sound planning and organisational skills.
- The ability to coach and mentor managers to enhance overall capability in people management.
- Proven experience leading/influencing in a comparably complex and sizable environment.
- Demonstrated ability to convey information and ideas clearly and accurately, in a way that meets the needs of the audience.
- Experience proactively and effectively managing internal and external relationships, using influencing techniques to build confidence throughout the region.
- Good time management and the ability to advise what is possible within time constraints.
- A flexible approach and responsiveness to new ideas and activities, demonstrated by a willingness to take on new challenges, roles, and responsibilities.
