**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**

Partnering closely with Technology and Operations (T&O) Data Product Managers and the broader IAG Data team, you will spearhead the implementation of IAG's data and architecture strategy for the New Zealand Division. Your core objective is to enhance the availability and quality of insurance domain data and related products. Leveraging your deep systems knowledge and operational insights, you'll drive technical due diligence, consult on solutions, and deliver strategies to fulfil business data demands. Crucially, you'll oversee resource allocation, cultivate partnerships, and champion talent acquisition and retention to bolster confidence in our data capabilities.

In this role, people leadership is paramount as you cultivate talent, foster a culture of continuous development, and drive excellence in data engineering within the team. Your ability to inspire and lead individuals while championing innovation will be pivotal to our success. Remaining abreast of emerging technologies in data and analytics will be integral to your role.

**Ōu Pūkenga | About You**
- Proven track record of leading technically proficient teams in software development or data management and enablement.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results within a framework of regular production release cycles.
- Leadership experience, encompassing the cultivation of agile cultures and the delineation of operating models.
- Experience in software development within a customer-centric business is preferred.
- Ability to navigate the cloud landscape with confidence, boasting experience and proficiency in public cloud platforms like GCP.
