**About the role**:
You will effectively manage multiple CDC construction projects to support high quality outcomes on time and within budget. The role represents CDC and requires you to work closely with the nominated General and Subcontractors to ensure all contributing internal and external partners can successfully complete the build and infrastructure installations whilst delivering world class data centres. You will be required to work in these major projects across the following project phases: planning, initiation, delivery, and commissioning. This role is key to CDC meeting our clients’ expectations and is critical to our business and growth objectives.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Responsible and accountable for the end-to-end oversight and success of assigned CDC construction project/s
- Management of key deliverables throughout the construction phase including value management, safety initiatives, structural adequacies, and verification of contracted works
- Manage and report on progress, forecasting, budget control, procurement and schedule updates, and company procedures/systems
- Maintaining compliance with specifications and relevant standards
- Prepare documents as required throughout the life of the project
- Identify and act on opportunities to optimise deliver, timelines and innovation
- Create and run meetings and progress cadence with key stakeholders
- Lead and mentor Construction Coordinators
- Work closely with CDC Service Managers and Engineers from design to handover
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors
- Collaborate with peers to continuously grow the capability of the function within CDC Other duties as directed

**About you**:

- Experience as a Construction/Project Manager (ideally with Data Centre building but not mandatory)
- Demonstrable successful record on ‘similar’ scale projects
- A strong focus on safety and implementation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly recognise issues or foresee and navigate risk early
- Sound knowledge of key stakeholder requirements and the ability to communicate through the following construction channels, ACONEX, PROCORE and BIM model
- Understanding of mechanical & electrical elements throughout the base build
- Principles of supervision, training, performance evaluation and professional development
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of building methods and materials
- Skill interpreting drawings and architectural plans
- An understanding of building standards and safety regulations
- Administration skills, and knowledge of cost control and purchasing
- An understanding of quality control systems

**Essential**:

- AU/NZ Citizenship or PR with ability to obtain NZ Security Clearance
- Comply with CDC Data Centres policies and procedures
