Seeking a P&C and SHE Business Partner to join a great team in Wiri.

**Your new role**
This role is responsible for supporting a range of generalist HR duties including contract and policy development and employment related changes and administration of the employment lifecycle within the People and Culture team in NZ. The role is also responsible for implementing and maintaining the Safety Management System across all of NZ in line with Legislative requirements, providing guidance, specialist technical support and promoting and supporting a “safety first culture” within the business. It is essential that this position is up to date with employment and health and safety legislation and can provide outstanding customer service. Responsible for the communication and support of key annual P&C activities for NZ. Partner with managers to ensure timely and effective delivery of HR/SHE operational and transactional services, advice and support.
Key Tasks:
**People and Culture**:
- Supports the P&C Manager through the provision of operational and transactional HR advice and services to the business, including the delivery and implementation of P&C strategies, policies and processes.
- Assist with the implementation of strategic HR projects as well as transformational change across the business.
- Assist in employment relations and change management activities supporting fair, consistent and prompt processes and successful outcomes.
- Accountable for general administrative tasks associated with P&C administration including reporting, management of the P&C Inbox, contracts checking, updating Role Statements and development and documentation associated with salary reviews as required.
- Ensure HR practices are compliant with relevant legislative requirements and the values of the organisation.
- Recommend changes and contribute to policy and procedure review and development.
- Utilising project management skills to support the P&C Manager to plan and execute people strategies that support the achievement of organisational objectives through admin support.
- Assist with the delivery of training as required.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably required.
**Health, Safety & Environment**:
- Assist in the implementation of Scania SMS.
- Support the business and all employees in SHE related matters and drive SHE activities across all areas in line with the schedule.
- Assist the Safety and Workcover Manager AU to conduct audits to assess compliance against Scania SMS and implement corrective actions where system gaps are identified.
- Implement key strategies with the objective of minimising workplace injuries, incidents and environmental harm, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Monitor quality of incident investigations, root cause analysis, appropriate and effective corrective actions and close out activities.
- Support safety committees, monitoring their effectiveness in addressing local SHE issues and awareness of the company’s SHE SMS.
- Develop and implement SHE training programs for the business.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in preparing, and checking employee records and contracts in a complex industrial environment.
- Ability to manage systems requirements and document process, to drive process improvement and automation.
- Minimum of 3 years safety experience.
- Experience in driving and coaching safety performance.
- Experience in the development and facilitation of hazard management programs relating to all aspects of SHE hazards and risks.
- Development and delivery of safety training packages.
- Coordination and implementation of safety audit and inspection programs
