Here at Inland Revenue (IR) we have recently completed a multi-year business transformation which has modernised our entire operation. As a customer-centric organisation, IR’s goal is to give customers the best possible experience when using the NZ tax system. This is resulting in significant changes to how we operate and engage with customers, and the way that our people undertake their work.

To support our ever-changing organisation, we are looking for a **highly experienced **Level 3 (Senior) Technology Specialist to join the Workplace Technology Engineering team, which sits within the Workplace Technology Service team.

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

The Workplace technology function ensures the integration across IR’s Primary Services and works with our business stakeholders and key suppliers to ensure that all our technical services operate efficiently and effectively.

**Mōu | About you**

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced technical specialist who excels at both analytical and system thinking and have in-depth knowledge of managing Microsoft services. You will have a high level of understanding and credibility within an operational ICT environment. You are a natural problem-solver and can comfortably advise the business on complex technical issues that may arise.

You will be responsible for cross skilling with other team members, maintaining / developing technical documentation, implementing change requests and collaborating with the wider Technology Services teams to resolve issues. You will plan and consult on new initiatives and guide the team on implementation.

**Required skills**:

- High level of experience managing Microsoft services including:

- Azure AD
- Azure Identity Services
- Microsoft 365 suite
- Teams/SharePoint
- Endpoint/Intune (Device, policy and configuration management)
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft Security Services (MCAS, Sentinel, AIP, ATP, Conditional Access)
- On Premise Services (Eg. AD, Windows Server Environment, Exchange)
- High level of PowerShell knowledge/usage (5+ years’ experience)
- High level of experience in agile practices
- Understanding of devops ways of working
- High level of communication skills - to provide advisory to high-level stakeholders
- Experience working in both BAU and Project spaces and balancing the workload

**Desirable skills**:

- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Oracle)
- Experience with managing services in both On-prem to cloud environments
