A vacancy exists for a Research Data Specialist in the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences (FHES) at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). This role will be primarily located at our AUT North Campus, which involves working with colleagues across our four AUT campuses.

The primary purpose of this position is to work collaboratively with academic staff and postgraduate research students in the FHES to provide robust data management solutions. The data specialist role is integral to high-quality, trusted, and compliant research within the Faculty. The appointee will also work collaboratively with staff in the FHES research office, and FHES data analysts, and actively contribute to FHES analytics hub activities.

The landscape regarding research data management, governance, security, and sovereignty is rapidly changing. We need a Research Data Specialist who can help us respond to and keep abreast of this changing landscape. We need someone who can provide well-informed support to our researchers and provide day-to-day data management support at a project level, as well as someone who can work with us at a system level to ensure best-practice data management systems and processes.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

The appointee will provide data management advice and support to researchers and postgraduate research students across a range of research projects at various stages in the research process. Research areas that require data management support include for example: psychology and neuroscience, mental health and addictions, health services delivery, physical activity and health, sports science, public health, disability and rehabilitation, injury prevention and management, environmental sciences, and food science.

**Salary Range**:$88,000 - $107,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
