**The practice**:
Affordable Dentists Limited is a group of four Dental Practices that are committed to ensuring that quality dentistry is accessible to everyone. With four dental clinics spread across Auckland, we for the last 15 + years are serving the community with over 20,000 happy smiles with our reliable, helpful, quality, and affordable dental care. We are seeking a Practice Manager to be based at our busy, boutique Ellerslie Clinic. However, it does need you to work between the three other branches to cover staff who are on sick or annual leave, if necessary. Weekend work is necessary for the role as the practice is open from Monday to Saturday.
**The Role**:
The role of Practice Manager is an important one to the overall operation and management of Affordable Dentists Limited. As a key, and often first point of contact for all patients, the Practice Manager is pivotal to establishing and nurturing the ongoing patient relationships that create a strong foundation for the business’ continued growth.
Playing a significant role in creating the overall atmosphere, appearance, and operation of the reception and front office, the Practice Manager is required to perform both reception management and front office business administration duties. The role also requires a combination of excellent personal and professional communication skills, together with an astute approach to business administration of a dental practice.
The primary purpose of the Practice Manager role is to develop, integrate and maintain practice systems and processes that support Affordable Dentists Limited’s continued effective operation. Of equal importance is the objective of contributing to the overall delivery of patient care by the team and business.
**Key responsibilities & Duties**:
The role involves the development, integration and maintenance of practice systems and processes across the business by:
- Practising leadership in all aspects of the role
- Performing administrative, financial, and marketing duties
- Systemise all processes within the practice, to facilitate and support overall operations and business growth.
- Identifying and communicating situations or issues that impact successful delivery of services, patient satisfaction, team members’ morale and capabilities.
- Developing a workplace culture that supports a solution-oriented approach to challenges.
- Cultivating a calm, positive, proactive management style
- Delivering exceptional patient care
- Meeting and striving to exceed targets set as key performance indicators (KPIs).
**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent business management, communication, and customer service skills.
- At least 2 years of experience in administration, preferably managing staff.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the firm's success.
