**About the role**

As a Kitchen Steward Team Leader you will evenly split your time between administrative tasks and working hands on alongside your team. You will be responsible for leading the Kitchen Steward team in the upkeep of all kitchen and food outlet areas to ensure the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the SkyCity Hamilton kitchens and food outlets.

You will also;
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained on a shift by shift basis, including setting rosters and covering absences
- Be responsible for the recruitment (with support from HR), training, including training in chemical safety, and ongoing support of Kitchen Stewards
- Ensure all designated kitchen areas are maintained and cleaned
- Ensure systems are in place for scheduled cleaning and maintenance of kitchens and equipment

This is a Full Time opportunity, working 40 hours per week._ _There is some flexibility around how these hours can be structured and some night and weekend work may be required.

To be successful in this role, you will also;
- Have fantastic interpersonal skills and be a confident and clear communicator
- Be well presented with a high level of professionalism
- Have solid understanding of relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures, including those relating to chemical use and storage
- Have demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Be able to problem solve
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts as required
- Be 20 years old or over due to licensing requirements
