Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are seeking a Team Coordinator to join our Ward Administration team Service which supports a patient's journeys from pre-admission through to discharge.
The Team Coordinator takes an organisation view and ensures that all processes are standardised across all wards. With their Team Leader, coordinates the team and ensures that ward administration staff provide a customer focused, efficient service to patients, relatives and clinical teams.

The Ward Administration Team Coordinator position sits within the Patient Administration Service. There are six teams in this group who collectively manage the provision of a centralised administration service to clinical areas covering all process steps from referral to discharge.
The Ward administration team manages the meet and greet, validation of patient information, admission and discharge process and general enquiries relating to patients in the wards. They also liaise with clinical staff to ensure that patient throughput is managed effectively and administration support is provided promptly. Their work is significant because they are pivotal to the day-to-day running of the ward.
Moū - About you
We are looking for someone with effective time management skills, is self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be able to deal with ambiguity, comfortably handling risk and uncertainty, while also having great communications skills and the ability to communicate with members of the public who may be distressed. Your excellent attention to detail, along with your perseverance and commitment to your work will allow you excel in this role.
**Other skills and experience we are looking for include**:
- Strong decision making skills.
- Great Microsoft Office Suite computer skills, particularly excel
- Exposure in working with cultures other than their own
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate with members of the team or the public including those who are distressed or angry.
