**Korero mo te turanga - About the role**

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Kairuruku - Research Fellow to join Te Kura Tatai Hauora - School of Health on a fixed term, part-time basis.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the curation, management, and analysis of qualitative data for the evaluation of the community health initiative Healthy Families NZ
- Lead an online stakeholder survey and contribute to organising and undertaking research interviews
- Engage and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including those within a Maori and Pasifika context
- Contribute to the dissemination of study findings through a final report and peer-reviewed journals

**O pumanawa - About you**

You'll be a motivated team-member who can take the lead on survey design, administration and analysis, contribute to qualitative analysis, and contribute to drafting and disseminating the evaluation findings. You'll be able to work well with people from all walks of life, have a strong attention to detail and be able to self-manage. This role is extremely rewarding and interesting, working on an innovative piece of research.

**Key requirements**:

- A completed PhD in public health or other relevant qualification commensurate with the role
- Experience in carrying out qualitative research including data collection, analysis and write up
- Experience using Qualtrics, NVivo, or similar software systems
- Experience conducting semi-structured research interviews and in qualitative research
- Demonstrated knowledge of public health
- A developing record of quality research outputs
- Two to three years minimum of research experience
