**About the role**
Operating in 340+ stores, numerous distribution centres and a large corporate function, we’re one of the largest SAP COE’s in the New Zealand market.
As a SAP Basis Lead you will be leading your team, supporting and enhancing all technical aspects of the SAP product platform while ensuring the product backlog is delivered. You will provide thought leadership, develop people, and empower others to build an effective SAP Retail landscape that underpins the core of our business.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Managing the planning and delivery of the technical backlog and coordinate deliverables within the team while ensuring the timely resolution of operational issues.
- Proposing, developing and implementing technical solutions to ensure an efficient, stable and cost-effective SAP landscape for FSNI
- Managing changes from BAU & associated projects through all SAP Environments in accordance with FSNI change control procedures.
- Resolution of technical and functional production incidents as they arise, ensuring proper incident and problem management governance.
- Guidance, mentoring and management of your team to ensure a stable and optimised solution.

**About you**
You’ll bring with you strong experience in the retail industry working with SAP and be enthusiastic and passionate about SAP solutions that solve business problems. You’ll have a balance of technical skills and project management skills giving you the ability to partner with other teams within IT, making you an excellent communicator and relationship builder. These skills along with an agile mindset will see you succeed in this complex environment.
You will also:
- Have a highly integrated knowledge of SAP and over 8 years hands-on SAP Basis experience, and SAP Basis certification.
- Have a strong leadership and coaching capability, with a proven track record for effective leadership in complex environments.
- Have a Strong ability to work at strategic level and at a detailed operational level.
- In-depth knowledge of ABAP systems, HANA DB Management, System upgrades, various Interface solutions, SSO configuration, SAP Cloud solutions like SuccessFactors and BTP
- Be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and driven by a desire to innovate in this space.
- Have a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
