Our why
Datacom works with organisations and communities across Australia and New Zealand to make a difference in people’s lives and help organisations use the power of tech to innovate and grow.
About the role (your why)
Are you ready to elevate your career in a dynamic, senior leadership role? As a Customer Partnership Lead at Datacom, you will be at the helm of managing key accounts, driving strategic growth, and fostering valuable relationships across various customer segments. This role is pivotal in overseeing the entire customer lifecycle, from strategy and growth to sustainability and profitability, ensuring our portfolio thrives.
In this role, you will be assigned clients based on their stage in the sales lifecycle and your unique skill set. You will be responsible for devising and executing strategies that promote growth, sustainability, and profitability for both existing and prospective clients. Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction is paramount, and you will have significant latitude to shape Datacom’s offerings in response to evolving market and customer needs.
This position is perfect for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, who can leverage extensive executive-level and deep customer relationships to identify and seize future opportunities for Datacom. Join us and be part of a team where your innovative ideas and strategic vision will drive success and make a lasting impact.
What you’ll bring
- Deep business understanding of end-to end sales to delivery cycle
- Ability to lead and story tell at presentations and confidently sell Datacoms offerings
- Ability to write high quality proposal documents
- Strong consultative, strategy and planning skills
- Financial/commercial/contractual analysis, management, and governance
- Commercial and Contractual acumen
- Demonstrated Negotiation skills

**Responsibilities**:
**Strategy & Growth**:

- Strategic planning and execution of acquisition for new customers in your value creation role
- Focus on new customer acquisition and the exceptional growth (white space) within our existing and new customer portfolio.
- Net new customers into Datacom’s portfolio, that positively contribute to our revenue and margin performance

**Relationships**:

- The Customer Partnerships Lead will have a customer focussed/market facing priority, with the goal to develop long term quality engagements with typically large public and private New Zealand organisations.
- Building value-based relationships in our accounts whilst developing key relationships (and ecosystems) that strategically enable you to deliver on Datacom objectives

**Delivery**:

- Ensure all delivery is well planned and executed with excellence. Ensuring the right people, commercials and governance are in place to deliver successfully to our customers
- Consistently and sustainably delivering on commitments made to customers (time, cost, and quality). Managing customer contract issues and resolutions to minimise negative impacts to both Datacom and our customers

Culture and Benefits
Datacom is one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest suppliers of Information Technology professional services. We have managed to maintain a dynamic, agile, small business feel that is often diluted in larger organisations of our size. It's our people that give Datacom its unique culture and energy that you can feel from the moment you meet with us.
We care about our people and provide a range of perks such as social events, chill-out spaces, remote working, flexi-hours and professional development courses to name a few. You’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop your career, connect and bring your true self to work. You will be recognised and valued for your contributions and be able to do your work in a collegial, flat-structured environment.
Our digital team is very flexible around how we work and fitting work around non-negotiable other commitments is important to us, including when we choose to come to the office.
We operate at the forefront of technology to help Australia and New Zealand’s largest enterprise organisations explore possibilities and solve their greatest challenges, so you will never run out of interesting new challenges and opportunities.
We want Datacom to be an inclusive and welcoming workplace for everyone and take pride in the steps we have taken and continue to take to make our environment fun and friendly, and our people feel supported.
