We are looking for a part time Senior Administration Coordinator (Plagiarism), who is an experienced educator /academic staff member who, working with the Academic Registrar will ensure academic integrity processes are followed. Academic Integrity is central to the mission and success of Open Polytechnic's programmes and courses offered through online and distance education.
This position works with stakeholders to consistently implement the regulatory framework in the management and investigation of suspected cases of academic misconduct and plagiarism, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of ākonga (learners). The role may also involve plagiarism education, including raising staff and student awareness of Academic Misconduct / plagiarism issues, and other delegated responsibilities.
You will also assist the Academic Registrar with advice on queries, requests, interpretations, and other matters related to compliance with Te Kawa Maiorooro, the Academic Statute and relevant rules and regulations.
The Academic Registry team manages the systems and processes for student admission, assessments, examinations, awards and qualifications and student information.
- Experience in higher or vocational education and managing academic integrity philosophies and practices.
- Excellent database management and Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- High level of communication skills, both oral and written
- The ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues
- The ability to demonstrating innovative initiatives and willingness to attempts non-traditional alternatives
- Confidentiality appropriate to the work
- Awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi as it relates to the educational sector
- Demonstrates a commitment to equity, equal employment, and educational opportunities.

**You will have**:
- At least 2 years in an education environment.
- Experience as an academic managing academic integrity requirements and processes or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
