Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

People Advisers provide a wide range of people related advice and support to leaders, managers and employees in New Zealand and overseas.

This role is responsible for building relationships with internal stakeholders, contributing to the implementation of HR priorities and policies and supporting and advising on cyclical people processes. Key accountabilities include:

- Delivering exceptional operational HR advice and support
- Acting as a trusted adviser
- Identifying opportunities for process and system improvement and proactively sharing information and knowledge with the rest of the people function
- Managing key relationships with leaders, managers and employees.

The appointment range for this role is $74,139 to $100,305 total remuneration including employer contribution to Kiwisaver - negotiable depending on experience.

**Please note**:
This is not a Foreign Policy/diplomatic role. This is a ‘Corporate’ role (known here as a Specialist role) based in central Wellington, NZ.

Mā‎ wai te mahi nei? - Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Human Resources professional with the following skills and experiences:

- Experience in a customer-facing HR role
- Demonstrated experience working through employment relations cases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Māori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) into your work.

If you are just starting on this journey that’s OK too - as long as you have a willingness to learn and a desire to develop your cultural capability. As a Te Tiriti o Waitangi partner, this is important to us and we offer training and support.
