Senior People Adviser - 12 month fixed-term or secondment opportunity.

As a Senior People Adviser, you'll support leaders in New Zealand and around the world.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

  • Provide leaders with operational HR advice
  • Use your technical knowledge to work through employment agreement and policy interpretation
  • Support leaders to manage employment relations issues, including those in other jurisdictions
  • Support change processes
  • Lead key projects within the People Division
  • Coach and mentor our People Coordinators and People Advisers

The salary range for this role is between $101,621 to $137,487 total remuneration, negotiable depending on skills and experience.
The total remuneration is inclusive of our 3% employer contribution.

We'd like to hear from you if you are an experienced professional with the following skills and experience:

  • Technical HR/ER knowledge with a track record of working through a variety of ER cases
  • Experience building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • A customercentric mindset and approach to problem solving
  • High levels of selfawareness, agility and resilience
  • A sound understanding of tikanga and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles
  • Experience working alongside unions (desirable)


Ideally you will also have a good understanding of tikanga (Māori customs and protocols), with the ability to weave te ao Māori (the Māori worldview) into your work.


If you are just starting on this journey that's OK too - as long as you have a willingness to learn and a desire to develop your cultural capability.
