My client is a unique well-known NZ Owned business in the entertainment industry. They have been operating in New Zealand for over 37 years. They offer a range of services customised to individuals young & old as well as to corporate organisations.

Their offices are in Manukau close to the motorway with parking available onsite. This is a great chance to join a supportive and collaborative team in a varied & busy role.

**The Role**

In this role you will be working within a finance team of 4 and will report into the finance manager. This role is a Payroll & Finance assistant position and will be responsible for the end-to-end Payroll and Accounts Payable function. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for the Weekly & Monthly around 170 + staff
- Record payroll cost split to relevant departments and Capex projects
- Month end payroll journals
- Manage IRD PAYE filing & payments
- Manage all IRD payroll related notifications including - employee deductions and changes to tax codes
- Assist with annual audit for payroll.
- Assist with any adhoc payroll reporting.
- Engage and assist in enhancement of our processes and systems
- End to end Processing of the weekly and monthly creditor payment runs (approx..350-550 invoices per month)
- Reconcile invoices to creditors statement.
- Liaise with Managers and suppliers to ensure any queries are resolved
- Maintain a clean and accurate Creditors Aged Trial Balance
- Maintain new supplier setup and complete supplier forms
- Maintain the Accounts Payable invoice and payments filing and records.
- Assist and contribute with enhancement of AP processing.
- Assist with Cashbook/AR receipting/Petty cash
- Responsible for daily processing of the bank statements
- Month End Bank reconciliation
- Manage the Petty Cash disbursements & reconciliations.

**Skills & Experience**
- To be successful in the role you can be an experienced payroller wanting to expand your accounts experience OR have a mix of payroll & accounts.
- Working within the wider Finance team you will be able to work collaboratively and can communicate effectively with others.
