**The Role**
- Payroll Compliance covers all New Zealand payrolls that are managed by the Fletcher Building NZ Payroll team. The scope of the role includes all aspects of payroll compliance and remediation, with an emphasis on the Holidays Act 2003 remediation activity.

The Payroll Compliance & Remediation Team is a specialist team within the wider New Zealand Payroll function. They have a 6-month fixed term contract available, for someone to support from an administration and payroll perspective, to enable them to complete the Remediation project and ensure the organisation meets its compliance obligations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing the communications and payments of remediation back pays to current employees
- Manage the communications and claims processes for former employees
- Working with large datasets from multiple sources, extracting key information and creating, formatting and collating reports in excel.
- Manage and run payrolls for back pay payments
- Support Payroll Compliance and Remediation team activities in the detailed investigation of all aspects of payroll to fully identify any gaps in compliance (with employment agreements and relevant legislation) and determine root cause for these gaps.
- Ensure that the work allocated is executed in a professional, accurate and timely manner according to the project framework of activities.

**About you**
- Your role is essential to ensuring Fletcher Building operates in compliance with all relevant New Zealand legislation as it relates to Payroll. You will possess 1-3 years end to end payroll processing experience, with strong understanding of NZ payroll legislation, including a sound understanding of the Holidays Act 2003.

You will thrive on assisting others and working collaboratively, whilst at the same time being able to take ownership of your work and work autonomously when required. Technically minded and an intermediate to advanced Excel user, you will have an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and accuracy. As this is a fixed term contract, you will be a quick learner, particularly when it comes to business knowledge. Chris21 experience is highly advantageous but not essential.
