Our Sector Digital Channels team is the driving force behind change in our nationally enabled services. We're on a mission to create cost-effective and sustainable digital solutions that revolutionize accessibility. We take pride in managing, delivering, and providing unwavering support for all our national external services. From Te Whatu Ora to Manatū Hauora, we've got our fingers on the pulse of it all. Plus, we're the champions of developing APIs that foster interconnectedness across systems used by external parties.

**Mōu | About you***

As an Mulesoft Engineer, you will be an important part of the Integration Development and Operations team within Data and Digital. Together, we have the collective accountability sharing a design intelligence that builds common ground and understanding for all of Te Whatu Ora.

You will be immersed in the design, creation, testing, and maintenance of Integration solutions, Integration Platforms/Gateways, and associated API's that are built and hosted on Mulesoft SaaS platforms and products; as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams in developing high-quality software products.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years Mulesoft Engineering experience, ideally in a large and complex organisation.
- Proficiency in more than one programming language commonly used in cloud environments, such as Python, Java, Node.js, Typescript or.NET.
- Knowledge and technical expertise of product integration and API programming.
- Proficiency in Azure or AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Git source repository and experience with GitHub/GitLab with standard Git workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, such as AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Experience working in an Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum).
- Knowledge of the Health Sector and Government is preferred but not essential.
