Christchurch, New Zealand Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Full time

**Contribute your EA skills to transforming the future of health**:

- **Flexible working supported to balance your work and lifestyle**:

- **Based in our Te Wai Pounamu Region**

This is mahi that will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it
**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Pae Ora legislation gives us the mandate and opportunity to create a system of commissioning that has the needs of whānau and communities at its heart. In this new model, we are not ‘commissioners' holding the power. We are Te Tiriti o Waitangi partners and allies, we are listeners of diverse voices, we are holders of the space for communities and whānau to lead. We are a team of teams who live within and reflect the communities we serve.

We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu.

This is an opportunity to support one of our senior managers within Commissioning. As the Executive Assistant, you will provide high quality, timely, one-to-one executive support, including dealing with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for managing the Group Managers schedule and communications, coordinating meetings, managing their inbox, acting as a central point of contact, and drafting documents and reports.

**This role manages the Te Waipounamu Region made up of Nelson Marlborough, Canterbury, South Canterbury, West Coast and Southern. Ideally, you will be based in one of these locations, but this can be discussed at interview stage.**

**Mōu | About you**

You are a professional EA, with a history of supporting key leaders in large organisations. Past employers would describe you as someone who proactively identifies continuous improvement opportunities, and you drive your own professional development in line with industry and sector trends.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā weako | Skills and experience**
- Experience with calendar management and meeting coordination and arrangements for Senior Leaders.
- Experience with secretariat duties, including minute taking and collation.
- Experience with financial administration such as processing invoices, reconciling payments and financial reporting as required.
- Experience with making travel arrangements and booking accommodation.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the capacity to manage relationships at all levels, including with senior Ministry officials and with health sector leaders.
- Assists other support resources, such as Team Administrators to help them to be successful in their roles.
- Experience in, or exposure to, project co-ordination.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples groups.

**Ka kawea e koe | You will bring**:

- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.

**Nau mai, uru mai | Come and join us**

When you join us, you become part of transforming the health system. This is a once in a life-time change, which will touch the lives of everyone in Aotearoa for generations.

Our name, Te Whatu Ora, means ‘the weaving of wellness'. Whatu is the combining of people, resources, organisations, thoughts and actions for the betterment and wellbeing of all. Whatu is also a direct reference to the pupil of the eye, and the vision required of the new entity and system.

**Tō mātou whakahaere ki te tika, te rerekētanga, me te whai wāhi mai | Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion**

**Me pēhea te tuku tono | How to apply.
