**The Ro**le**

The purpose of the role and your unique value add is to contribute to IAG NZ’s centralised Portfolio & Planning team, who build and monitor the IAG NZ business plan, and manage the governance and delivery risk of IAG NZ’s delivery portfolio.

**Your Key Accountabilities**:

- Contribute to the annual review and build of the IAG NZ business plan that connects and achieves the collective requirements of the IAG Group strategy, the IAG NZ strategy and the IAG NZ budget.
- Working with the Manager, Portfolio & Planning embed and maintain a comprehensive benefits management framework. Using this framework, track and report on benefit realization to ensure the return on investment is on track as per initial business case/lean canvas and escalating to the relevant governance forums and business owners where action is required.
- Maintain an enterprise prioritisation and sequencing (Quarterly Planning) system of work that helps NZ Div. to better deliver identified outcomes and provides a clear view to capacity centres on what activity their resources should be focused on. Equally work with capacity centres where resource contentions exist and help find pragmatic solutions to solve prioritisation problems that ensures the agreed prioritisation view of activity is being delivered.
- Actively work with initiative owners and senior stakeholders to support delivery excellence and effective management of initiatives, including by collaboratively solving potential risks to delivery before they crystallise, coaching effective delivery and governance practices (in conjunction with the Delivery Centre of Excellence), and build effective enterprise networks to support an Agile approach to delivery success.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships with the Group EPMO, providing input into monthly and quarterly planning and reporting requirements.
- Provide input to monthly reporting to the NZLT, and relevant EGMs on portfolio progress, benefits realisation, capacity & cost management, and delivery risk, together with recommended actions to mitigate any risks to delivery and support the on-plan execution of the strategic portfolio of work.

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- 7+ years proven experience in large scale transformation programmes in complex business environments
- 3-5 years proven planning and/or portfolio governance experience in complex business environments
- Senior stakeholder management experience, including collaborative problem solving, senior manager coaching and development of enterprise networks
- Demonstrated ability to connect planning, prioritisation and sequencing within a complex environment
- Engagement with Executive leadership teams on business strategy, prioritisation and financial outcomes
- Strategic thinking and thought leadership, including proven ability to connect activity to high level business strategy, vision and purpose.
- Agile principles (SAFe and Scrum) knowledge and experience
- Benefits identification, quantification and realisation tracking
- Prioritisation framework implementation and maintenance

**Desired Experience**:

- Financial services or insurance industry experience
- Experience implementing organisation wide solutions
