This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and motivated QS who is willing to learn and gain exposure within the commercial construction sector.

Based in Hamilton, you will join our team to help complete the CPB - Waikeria Prison Project. You will also work on other specialist commercial projects across the Waikato and Auckland regions.

**Reporting to the Waikeria Site Project Manager, key tasks will include**:

- Assisting the Senior QS with substantiating the monthly claims, variations, QA, and supporting documentation
- Assisting the Project Manager with contractual obligations, including inspections, quality reporting and Aconex instructions
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations as per drawings and documentation
- Performing take-off calculations to estimate costs, and identifying commercial risks
- Ensuring timely completion of cost estimates using Excel, Costex and Procore
- Assisting with stock management

**Key attributes and experience**:

- Completed or completing a Quantity Surveying/Construction Management qualification
- Project Management experience would be an advantage
- High level of computer skills, and the ability to quickly learn new software
- High level of self-motivation, initiative and drive
- Highly responsive to prioritising work and meeting deadlines
- Strong problem-solving ability, and able to grasp unique technical aspects of plans and specifications
- A team player who is a natural at building relationships with key stakeholders
