An exciting opportunity exists for you to work for us in either our **Melbourne, Sydney or Auckland** office** as a **Project Controls Specialist. **This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic office experiencing rapid growth in a healthy market focused on infrastructure development, specifically in the underground sector for the foreseeable future.
**Project Controls Specialist** will play a central role in keeping project and business operations/activities organised, on track, and moving forward. This position requires exceptional **communication** and **organisational skills**, the ability to **manage multiple tasks** efficiently, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ability to execute the Project Controls Coordinator responsibilities is assumed and background in Cost Control is advantageous.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist PM in file set-up, development of document naming conventions, version control, document management, and filing procedures. Manage document control systems (software)
- Assist PM with preparation of monthly progress reports
- Assist PM in tracking of project deliverables
- Assist PM in monitoring project schedule milestones and completion dates
- Assist PM in project closeout tasks, lessons learned evaluation, and final reporting
- Develop understanding of specific programs and tools to manage scope, budget, schedule, and contract requirements
- Prepare the invoice package, maintain accounts receivable/collections
- Prepare work in progress (WIP) reports, coordinate with Project Manager and make corrections
- Prepare labour rate and Overhead rate adjustments per contract requirements
- Prepare Vision Reports as needed for PM or client
- Review contract documentation to ensure that project controls responsibilities are met and develop action plan to make corrections, if needed
- Maintain social equity reporting per contract requirements, if required
**Qualifications**:
- 7 + years
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Deltek Vision experience preferred
- High proficiency in Excel: VLOOKUP, PIVOT tables, and graphing
- Basic knowledge on Microsoft Project or P6
