Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.

**The Opportunity**

As Planner / Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that purchased materials are planned throughout their operational lifecycle in a fashion that ensures uninterrupted and continuous supply to the Upper Hutt Value Stream, whilst maintaining compliance to our Company’s Financial Policy. This involves weekly tactical and monthly supply plans for purchased materials are established and clearly communicated to all internal and external stakeholders. You will have the strong ability to carefully balance replenishment of purchased material with the ownership of Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV).

**What You Will Do**
- Primary activities include, but are not limited to:_
- ** Purchasing and Planning**:

- Devising & executing stable plans for the replenishment of all purchased materials into the value stream for use in production operations
- Identification of short, medium
- and long-term supply risks
- Monthly reporting of future dependent demand for long lead time materials (supplier schedules)
- Maintenance of compliance requirements including cGMP and regulatory authorities
- Establish and review economic order quantities as per vendor contracts
- Key contribution to Product Life Cycle Management activities, including new products and phase outs, for Upper Hutt Manufactured and Imported Finished Products.
- Act as Site Coordinator for Purchased Material Change management activities
- ** Inventory Management**
- Manage the end-to-end replenishment of raw material replenishment and supply functions
- Ensure that product phase-outs are raised in a timely fashion with robust financial analysis and visibly tracked through to completion
- Liaising with key internal stakeholders to analyse and implement optimum inventory levels and policies
- Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) is managed, and risks are clearly identified per our Company’s financial policies
- Inventory that is at-risk of expiring prior to requirement dates is managed or replenished in a timeframe that avoid supplier or value stream interruption
- Undertake inventory analysis of material holdings This can include review of safety stock levels, days of cover, warehouse capacity, process order activities and warehouse master data review.
- Material flow through the warehouse and plant, identifying opportunities to implement improvements and efficiencies.
- Explore and identify alternate replenishment strategies as required.
- Management of Site Inventory Policy relating to Purchased Materials
- ** Documentation**
- Maintain all documentation in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, Company, and relevant external standards.
- Act as site lead for all raw material changes management.
- Site Administrator / Maintenance lead for Supplier Transparency

**What You Must Have**

You will have:

- Knowledge in SAP Procure-to-Pay / Source-to-Settle and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) functionality
- Proven solid experience in Supply Chain in a functional integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment
- Experience in production materials and processes in industries such as Animal Health, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Packaging etc
- Demonstrated involvement and active participation in a broader team environment
- Strong ability in problem solving
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise
- Understanding of the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Good computer skills in MS Office (eg. Excel) and Windows
- Awareness of & Good Documentation Practice (GDP) with commitment to maintaining the highest standard of documentation accuracy, data housekeeping and master data management.
