The Aviation Security Service delivers world-class aviation security and a high-quality, responsive passenger experience in airports across New Zealand. It works closely with other border and government agencies both internationally and nationally, as well as with airport companies and industry associations. The Service is experiencing growth due to changes to the functional and operational delivery of airport security globally and the associated step-change in technology and capability required to support this.

**About the role**

The Manager In-Service Support is a tier-three leadership, permanent role based in Wellington. The manager will lead a multi-skilled team responsible for the ongoing management of AvSec technical security maintenance and logistics support functions. The team leads AvSec’s engagement with OEMs and other suppliers in the generation of robust support solutions to meet AvSec’s 24/7 front-line operational demands. This role also encompasses the management and configuration control of AvSec’s hardware and software equipment and security systems.

**What we’re looking for**

To be considered for this key position, you must be a proven people and functional leader. Ideally, you will have gained experience working in the management of technical systems, logistics delivery, contract management and configuration asset management. You must enjoy and be adept at developing relationships with key stakeholders externally and internally and be a proactive member of the wider leadership team. You may have an appreciation of airport security screening and inspection technologies, or of a similar complex technical operating environment. Regular national travel will be required, along with the ability to gain and maintain secret security status.
