About the role

RCR Infrastructure Limited has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of Health & Safety while providing some support to Senior Leadership Team, implementing processes & protocol measures and providing advice to mainly RCR but also to Stonewood Group commercial and Stonewood Homes residential development ad hoc basis. We are seeking an experienced and motivated person who will hit the ground running with their skills and deliver excellent quality services.

Key Responsibilities
- Support and training of managers and staff to implement and maintain H&S processes.
- Support staff with development of SSSP and Job Safety Analysis
- The action plan from the safety assessments completed for RCR will also need to be regularly reviewed.
- Audit schedules and completion of audits
- Oversee risk management activities
- Maintain compliance with legal requirements
- Developing and implementing an annual H&S plan and KPIs to ensure continual improvement
- Collection and analysis of data
- Accident and incident investigation
- Review and updates to procedures
- Maintenance of H&S software across the group
- Consideration of certifying H&S systems to an accredited standard (e.g. ISO 45001 or ISO 18001) to ensure external overview of H&S is part of the process & to provide assurance that systems are fit for pre-qualification purposes.
- Provide support to RCR employee onboarding and offboarding process
- Uniforms and PPE

Responsible for Stonewood Group and Stonewood Homes
- Perform health & safety audit check at construction site
- Audit check Main Contractor health and safety on site
- Review the health and safety policies and systems from contractors and suppliers
- Provide health and safety improvement
- Develop a plan to ensure Stonewood Homes Franchisees are meeting their H&S duties

Skills and experience
- A relevant health & safety qualification
- At least 5 years’ solid experience in a Health & Safety management role
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
- Knowledge and experience in the ongoing development of H&S Systems and projects, legislation and developing and presenting reporting in New Zealand
- Knowledge in HR processes preferred
- A high level of computer literacy, competent with MS Office Suite and Safety related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable, able to work in a diverse and fast-paced work environment
- Able to build good working relationship across the business
